Could you please translate this e-mail into English? Apparently my friend've received it from a shop:

Are you crazy?

Thank you all in advance.:)

Hmmm.... it seems you or your friend tried to use a fake credit card or something like that to make a purchase?

The person writing you the reply recommends use of other payment options and warns you that the police will be notified of attempts at fraud, as well as issuing advice on life to stick to the straight and narrow... 😊

That doesn't seem like it's a serious e-mail to me, though. Is NG really considered OK in formal Japanese? And that last paragraph is a bit... out of character, let's say, for a formal notification.

Yes, I agree. I've thought it's "out of character," too.

But, since the poster claims it came from a shop, it must be a serious reply. Maybe the "shop" is a Web-based, one-man operation, and the person is free to write what he pleases?

NG may have been used in hope that it is understood by foreigners? (Resorting to wild guesses here... :p )

アースモバイル is a real phone company but I still got lazy and stopped reading after "Are you crazy?" :p
The familiar tone must make it from a vendor or other trusted intermediary in a long-standing relationship (taken to new heights).
