The troubles of a river-like language

I find Japanese to be a beautiful language full of poetic construction and sing-song phonemes such as are perfect to render a transcendent, yea, floating, world. But alas, I stumble over some trouble in this pursuit of understanding this flowing language, namely, the following sentence:

けじめとして今日一日くらいはそうやっておとなしくし てろ

It flows so perfectly, I can't tell where one word starts and the other ends. Can some help untangle this problem and break up my conundrum?
