eh, I have been trying to learn Japanese for EVER. but I never improve, though I can't say I practice at all hehe. Erm I try my best, I know random words here and there and I used to actually be able to fully introduce myself and say stuff I like dislike, what I did during the day(very limited) but yes, now I can hardly say anything.

So what am I doing to fix it?
1. Joining this Forum
2. Practicing more
3. Taking classes Fall quarter

So yay haha, Anyways I hope you guys will all help me out and er heres the extent of my introduction in japanese:

I know theres probably 50 thousand grammatical errors in that one sentence, but please say what I did wrong

I know most of the hiragana alphabet, quite a bit of some kanji, and hardly any katakana...anyways I look forward to learning!

You are on the right track ^^;; You got a little bit mixed up when writing about things you liked. Here is how i would probably phrase it:

私はさくじょうです。十九さいです。ええと。。。おすしとアニメと日本ドラマがすきです。

I think you can usually drop the と in between the things you like..tabun ^^;

「・・・がすき」は、うしろにつけます。(Put "...ga suki" at the end.)

Basiacally he's saying the word order is the opposite for Japanese sentences compared to english It is better for you to put "ga suki desu" at the end after you list the things you like.

Don't worry. We all make a lot of mistakes when we are learning a foreign language. But We can learn a lot of things by making mistakes. I have been making countless mistakes in English. Let's write and make mistakes in Japanese! (^_^)/
