Wow. I am so looking forward to this. I wish it would come out sooner so it would be on DVD sooner. Haha. The trailer makes it look really good. L on a bike, L running, L attached to a van. Kenichi Matsuyama makes an amazing L. He's a fantastic actor.

Haha. Won't come here either. Will have to wait patiently (or not... haha) for it to come out on DVD. *sigh*
(at first, my sudden reaction was "huh? @_@?... But didn't L......#######"<--- I was thinking of the anime version hahaha ^_^)

I have to admit that I have only seen the first Deathnote movie, but after watching it, I had no motivation to see any more of them. I didn't like L or the Deathnote guy. My favorite characters were the wife of the guy that died after getting off the train and the angel of death.

Fair enough. I suppose the first one doesn't really give you much of the characters. Light was a loser (as in the anime) and not much was seen of L. L does come across a lot better in the second one, I have to admit. Shame you didn't want to see them though.

Has anybody seen this yet? I have it on DVD now, and I loved it. Not as good as the Death Note films, but it shows L in a whole new light. If possible... he looks even cuter but I won't go all fangirly.

i got the regular type of this movie kenichi san is a great actor , i think most of his movies are good . it is kinda different from the 2 old ones but still i think its interesting to see L changing the world before dying XD

This is the only one I haven't seen yet. I know it's online but I haven't gotten to it. We probably won't have it on dvd yet seeing as the second is screening this week. But I can't wait to see it.

You could order it from Japan or Hong Kong on Ebay like I did. It didn't cost that much. To be honest, the original Death Note films are only just being released on DVD over here.
I saw L: Change the world in Japan in the theaters. I forgot the date but it was the last day that they runned it in Warner Bros cinema.
I must say I never saw a full hall clapping at the end of a movie.
L change the world isn't anything like Death Note but it's certainly the best movie were Matsuyama Kenichi took place in.

When me and my friends went to see Harry Potter 2 all those years ago we stood up and clapped at the moment that the characters did at the final feast... the rest of the cinema joined in with us!
As for the movie, I was going to buy it when I was in KL but decided not to. I'm not sure that I'm really bothered about seeing it. I loved the anime series and what I've read of the manga but the live actions just didn't work for me. Although saying that I did like their portrayal of L ... so maybe I'd like this one! It just feels a little too removed from the rest of the series. I see Death Note as a continuous plot, a battle of wills between L and Kira and eventually Kira and L's sucsessors. To have a film just about L, to me, defetes the point. But that's just my opinion.

I really like death note, both anime and d live action (except last one). but i have to say that when I watched "L change the world" , I was a bit dissappointed and bored.
