For my Birthday I got:
A pair of GHD straighteners (Now my hair can be straight forever )
Some cake!
A new kimono (blue with lighter blue swirly patterns)
£60 (about $116) cheque
Some sake (My brother got it imported, so I have sat drinking warm sake allll day )
And a few more bits and bobs...

You do have a point there, in a way. I should probably wish all a happy birthday thread. Actually, I tend to do so only for those that I feel I can say that I do know--that is have had enough contact with them.

Of course on your birthday, there was another member listed as having a birthday too. . . I just didn't really feel as though I knew that member well enough to open a birthday thread.

I could be wrong, in some ways, for such thinking, but would reason that basically all can understand.

Plus, you had actually mentioned it first on a thread somewhere...I think it was on the 'banning' thread.
