昨日、こんな本"A Japanese Reader: Graded Lessons for mastering the written language"は買いた。だれか読んだか? いかがでしたか?私が好きです。 読んでことから習っていますよ。

ありがと、

グレッグさん、

こんばんは!そのタイトルは聞いたことがあるんですが、どんな本(読本)かはっきり知りませんでした。 I have heard that title but didn't know what kind of book it was.

なぜその本を買いたかったのですか。

Thanks for bothering to read my bad Japanese :)

I bought it because it has simple reading exercises. I wanted a book specifically to practice reading, since there are already so many grammar resources available on the internet. I know I can practice reading on the internet, but I was having difficulty finding elementary sentences and paragraphs to read.

This book is divided into short lessons, random sentences at first and then dialogues and topical paragraphs, eventually short fiction. Just a few kanji are introduced in each lesson. I'm finding it to be effective, so far. Its very helpful to copy the kanji, then read them in real sentences. Anyone wanting to practice reading or learning kanji should definitely check it out.

I also bought another book of translated short stories, "Breaking into Japanese Literature". It has short stories with definitions on every pages and a translation on the opposite page. I'm not going to try to read it though until I'm a lot more fluent
