JR Green Vs Ordinary

I need to get my JR Pass for 7 days and I was wondering difference in quality from Ordinary to Green "Cars" on the JR Shinkansen train.
Considering I have to travel From Tokyo, Kyoto , Nagoya and Osaka on the Tokaido line.

I would also go to hiroshima, however the Jr website states that there are no green coaches on the Sanyo line.

So there are so many differences between the two classes? Is it worthy use the green pass?

I think the green cars are mainly used by business men. I would recommend you to get a normal JR Railpass through you travel agent. Actually a normal Shinkansen is very luxurious - like first class in most countries.

Pls remember that you can not buy the Railpass in Japan.

The regular Rail Pass is just fine. The seats are better than in a typical coach class airline seat. You will still be offered food for purchase.

I have been reading all the jr travel pass website So I know (because is written 100s times) that I cannot use the Nozomi with rail card

If you are going to Hiroshima I think you should take a few hours break in Himeji - the castle there is stunning!

since you cannot use Nozomi trains you will have to change trains in Osaka when going to Hiroshima from Tokyo or Nagoya. Hikari trains do not run through... I had to carry my big luggage down the stairs and up again last time because I couldn't find an escalator... keep that in mind.

Haha, I did the same thing! Carrying luggage isn't that big a problem for me, but it was a pretty strong reminder of the difficulties disabled people must face in Japan.

Big luggage is entrusted in accommodations in Kyoto.
And, it travels with small luggage.

Sightseeing spots from Osaka to Hiroshima

Landscapes from the windows of the train are good. There're alot of small islands on the sea.

If you from Tokyo to Hiroshima, change at Okayama, though you only have 5 min changing time, you don't have to change platform, so that's handy with heavy luggage

Don't bother with the green ticket. The standard seating on Japanese trains is far better than that you get in British first class trains and plenty comfortable enough for those long rides.

If you are planning to go to Miyajima Island when in Hiroshima (and I'd recommend it) then remember you can get to the island on JR's own ferry. Just make sure you get the right ferry as there are some non-JR run boats as well.

If you want a stop off, then I'd plump for Himeji castle and it's neighbouring gardens. I think these far outweigh the gardens in Okayama. One thing to remember whereever you stop off is that you'll probably want to leave your luggage in the station rather than lug it around the attractions. To that end, having a main bag that is squishy really helps as not all the lockers are big enough for a hard suitcase. If you go to Okayama then the Hikari rail stars go there direct from Tokyo so no changes needed.
