The only word I recognized was "Jiyuu" which means freedom or liberty. Based on the English lyrics, she's probably singing about the guy she loves.

i thought so : 3

though, what i want to know is: you don't know if the english lyrics are right, do you? i used google translate for them  🤷‍♂️

Uhmmm, number one, Google translate isn't the best for translations. Number 2, based on how laid back the lyrics are… maybe not completely accurate.

Maybe not laid back, but just don't make sense. (I'm American, lol, I'm a literalist) unfortunately, my knowledge of Japanese extends to introducing myself, ordering food, and describing nationalities, so unfortunately I can't help much here.

Maybe what you can hopefully do is you can find YouTube videos of the artist singing it or some videos of the song itself with English, romaji, and kanji. I will look to find some.

Edit: I was unfortunately unable to find any. Sorry.

Konnichiwa nihongolearn san!

Hayashibara's Song! That brings back memories. I like her song too!

I mention some of words...

hoshi no umi ni tokete yuku - and dissolve into the ocean of stars...

'tokete yuku' means 'dissolve' in literal translation, but means 'go away' or 'fade away' in poetic expression. I think 'go away' or 'fade away' are better. But I'm not confident in English. Do you know more fittable word?

shizuka ni toki o matsu, anata no kagi o mitsukete ne - I'll wait quietly until you find your keys.

Ending word 'ne' means a expressions of endearment and it's used as 'Please'.

shizuka ni toki o matsu, anata no kagi o mitsukete ne
is...
I'll wait quietly, please find your key.

nee kiite...
is
Hey, listen to me...

First word 'nee' means 'Hi' or 'Hey'. But this word 'nee' is used by young woman, and young man dose not tend to use. I don't know 'Hi' or 'Hey' are fittable, or not...

tsurai yokogao mo muteki dawa

'muteki dawa' is a typo and is 'mitekita wa' correctly.

tsurai yokogao mo mitekita wa
is
I had been looking the side view of sad face.

nanimo dekinakutte,

'nan nimo dekinakutte' is correct lyrics but is a same meaning as 'nanimo dekinakutte'.

wasurenaide ite ne,

Ending word "ne" is used as 'Please'.

wasurenaide ite ne,
is
please don't forget,

nee itsuka, kanashimi o nori koete watashi ni ai ni kite...
is
Hey, someday come see me when you will overcome this sadness.

dare yori daiji na anata - You are the most important person in my life

'important person' is correct at literal translation, but is sounds businesslike. I think 'beloved person' or 'my precious' is more lyrical maybe. But I don't know what word is the best in English.

I pointed out some words but I'm not good in English. Please check up more fittable words or lyrical words.

NANGI

I think it's pretty accurate but could be stated more elegantly as Nangi says.
