Sushiro, a kaitenzushi chain in the news for falling victim to "sushi terrorism," decided to relax the dress code for its staff.
Sushiro workers used to have to keep their hair and eye colours "natural." But starting 1 November, Sushiro has lifted these restrictions to allow its employees to express themselves more freely. They can now dye their hair, wear coloured contacts, wigs, or even facial hair. And even wear a hijab.
Food & Life Companies, the owner of Sushiro, says this is to make "a workplace where employees can work enthusiastically as their individuals."

- Wearing wigs (in a hat/hairnet while at work)
- Wearing coloured contact lenses
- Beards (to be placed in a mask while on duty)
- Hijab (hem placed in clothing while on duty)
