Help Translation of Yokaren pilot statuette inscription?

I recently acquired this small (8" tall) metal statue of a pilot and would like to add the info in the inscriptions on both sides of the base to my information file about it.

This is more than the usual simple requests that some of you have so generously translated, but would greatly appreciate full translation.

On the other hand, I also have -- postcards sent home by Japanese soldiers (seem to be dated from Sino-Japanese war) and would like to get full translations, so if you know a professional translator who you could recommend, greatly appreciated.
