Yoshiki, Gackt and Sugizo start band together

that may be true sakevi but that still doesnt mean he's not in a cult. But I'm sick of arguing, you have your opinion on the subject, and I have mine, just like the last arguement we got in. I'm tired of this stuff lol.

Yeah, I can't change your point of view.

I saw you posted that one of your friends was in a cult... well, my friends were involved with Toshi for many years; it's not my opinion, it's how things happened and I just brought it up because, for me, it is not fair to blame Toshi for everything, and also to lie about him and the "cult" he joined.

I'm tired of this too, I should listen to my friend who told me not to say all this kind of stuff, because nobody will believe in that. Keep on believing fangirls lies, it seems you like that.

Continue with your threat 👍

Very interesting SaKeVi...Ditto on the Thank-you!

Honestly I can see both sides of the coin. Also sorry to say most sites *ahem* undoubtedly do blame some "cult" as a reason why Toshi left.
So it is hard to say...I mean you say your friends were "invovled" with Toshi, what does that mean? Did they know Toshi? Or are they big fans of him?
It can be interpreted two ways- What people say and what Toshi says.
Maybe there is a bit of truth in both stories, but I agree it wasn't ever Toshi's fault.
It's called closed doors people. We never get to see what is behind them and we only hear muffled discussion. So let's close this one and move along to discussing Skin or whatnot. Savvy?

and I accept that as the reason he left, it's perfectly plausible and believable, but my point is that even though toshi leaving x might not have had a thing to do with the cult, that doesn't mean he's not in a cult after all, it just means the cult wasnt why he left. I mean I believe you completely as to why he quit, that's fine and understandable, I just believe from my experience and what is a cult that it's fairly obvious he's in a cult. It has nothing to do with fangirlism, like I said before, I'm not even that in to X. Hell I only discovered jrock itself about a year ago, so all this **** is new to me anyways. And I'm sick of being called a fangirl and a liar, because I believe toshi is in a cult. I know first hand what a cult is and it is all too familiar what toshi has gotten himself into. The reason toshi quit the band is no longer the point of this argument.

I apologize for getting riled up, I just tend to take it personally when I'm insulted.

Who's the vocalist going to be?? I wanted it to be Miyavi but I think Gackt'd be great too.

SaKeVi I have a little Q for you...
I suddenly remembered thet both hide and Taiji have (I think it was blue) roses tatooed on their arms... Any connection, did the make them together as a sign of friendsip? There is this rumour that it has to do with Yoshiki since his favourite flowers are roses... Just felt like I wanted to know ^^ And change the subject, why are you discussing Toshi...o_O

^because we need SOMETHING to argue about ^_^

eww i have to wake up in 2 hours... bleh... end-of-semester research papers suck >=P

geez, I never visited this thread since nearly... years (? or watever :D ) so... yeah... I missed all the drama. :p

I'm really not excited about Skin, but that's only because I don't really like Gackt, Yoshiki or Sugizo all that much. 😊 ... as for Miyavi... well... there are some things I can like about his music (the variety), yet other things I can't stand *have never been a big fan of his music*, and I certainly think he's so over-rated as a guitarist. ☝ (note : I don't mean to say that he is 'bad' guitarist or has 'no' skills, just that I think he is over-rated compared with the world's awesome guitarists 😌 )

Personally, I think they should have had Teru from Aikaryu as their 2nd guitarist (if he wasn't already in Versailles... where I am waiting for him to be hidden under a bushel 😭 ).

As for bassist... I think they ought to have Crazy Cool Joe... now that would be fun! 🕺 :D (if you don't know him, he played the bass for Kozi's first live and you can hear him at the live recording of Color Me Blood Red... fun bassline :p)

Either that or Kozi should do it... for the laugh... because I can imagine how him and Gackt would get on... NOT...

That they actually know Toshi. I also didn't know the reasons that made Toshi left the band; but fortunately those guys told me some stuff (more that I've posted far now) and I can't blame him for doing that.

Obviously it looks like he got brainwash, but that's not true, and also Masaya doesn't have a cult running in Japan. In the end, everybody have their own opinion, but if we want to make it "stronger", we should try to get all the info needed, so we can see both sides of history and not just believe that something's happening.

I wasn't aware of that detail... let me check that with some friends, if they know about it.

Probably it's the rose cult 😌

Because he has a shark jaw :-)

I base my beliefs on what I know, not what I think, I know what a cult is from first hand experience, and based on what toshi has sayed about this masaya it is all to obvious to me that it's a cult.

But, forget it, no matter what I say you never listen, I'm done with this. It's been fun.

Yeah, this discussion is going nowhere... just to finish: I base my comments on what Toshi's friends know, and I think it says more than what it looks like. Toshi's feelings and ideas started waaay more before he met Masaya, he just found with him the complement he needed of his thoughts.

Maybe cults are well accepted in Japan: no one but rabid fangirls were worried about Toshi's new life in a cult. Neither friends or family, just rabid Yoshiki-lover's fangirls.

Hey guys, check this interview, I found it on jame usa. It seems I was right on the money when I guessed that they'd been working on an album in secret lol and it does look like they are going to have a bassist (at some point lol) this interview is awesome, the future of Jrock in america looks pretty damn bright! The thought of jrock revolution tour is so cool and that he plans on doing it again with more bands!!

JaME met with Yoshiki, the mastermind of the JRock Revolution event, in his dressing room at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, California. The star was gracious enough to grant us an interview on day two of JRock Revolution, the evening after the confirmation of Miyavi as the 4th member of the super band SKIN.
We know you're extremely busy this evening, thank you for granting us a few moments of your time. Let's start with a few questions about tonight's event. How long have you been thinking about an event like JRock Revolution?
Yoshiki: About a year I guess. Maybe more like a year and a half.
What are your hopes and expectations for the event?
Yoshiki: First, I wanted to show all the band members their fan base outside of Japan. Many of the bands hear of their popularity here, but it seems to them to be more of a rumor. I wanted them to see the fans first hand. And also, I wanted to bring JRock to the US.
Where did you first get the idea?
Yoshiki: I saw Dir en grey live. They played here in this theatre. There were tons of fans at the show and the fan reaction was great, so I started thinking about it then. Also, I saw all the messages on my MySpace page, asking for Japanese bands.
You seem to be very in touch with your fan base. Do you think that's because of your MySpace page?
Yoshiki: Yes. When I was doing X-Japan, hide was the one. His role was to communicate with the fans, I was just the crazy leader, just doing whatever I wanted. Not to say that I didn't care about the fans, but hide was the one who played that role. But, we don't have hide anymore, so I think I should be the one to assume that role.
How were the bands that are participating selected?
Yoshiki: That was really hard. There were a lot of bands that wanted to come. It was really hard to make the schedule work, to make sure all the bands were available at the same time. Also, the JRock Revolution MySpace page ran some polls and did some research to see who the fans wanted the most, so we used that research as a reference. We wanted to make sure and bring a wide variety of bands, not just one genre.
Were there any bands that you really would have liked to have seen perform that were unable to make it?
Yoshiki: Yes, but this is just the beginning. There wasn't a lot of time when we planned the show. It was initially supposed to be 3 days with more bands, but there were many problems like visas, passports, and schedules. We decided to just keep it simpler this time so we could properly prepare. So next time we will have more time to prepare, and we'll bring the bands that weren't able to make it this time.
Would you take an event like this on tour?
Yoshiki: I'd love to, if it can be arranged. Logistically, it would have to be fewer bands. Having a tour with 9 or 10 bands would be too difficult to organize, and too costly. We'd need to tour with fewer bands to make it more efficient.
Why did you decide not to perform at the event? Many fans were hoping to see you take the stage and drum with a few of the bands.
Yoshiki: I don't know ....I wanted to make sure everything was organized first. If I performed there would probably be some kind of disaster (laughs).
Will you answer a few questions for us about your new band SKIN? Many fans are wondering about it..
Yoshiki: Sure, of course!
Do you have someone in mind to play bass?
Yoshiki: Actually ....we haven't decided (laughs).
Will there be an album, or just a series of live appearances?
Yoshiki: We're planning on releasing an album. We've already recorded rough versions of seven or eight songs. Everyone came here to Los Angeles in March for a few weeks so we could work on it.
What kind of a time frame do you have in mind for the band? Is this a short term project, or something we can expect more longevity from?
Yoshiki: Well, it's a band. You never know how long it will last (laughs). But, before we were a band we were all friends so I think it will last.
So that we don't take up any more of your time this evening, let's end with a final message for your fans.
Yoshiki: I have to say that without you guys I am pretty much nothing. I believe I exist because of my fans' support.

👍 Tnx for posting
Funny that they still have to decide on a bassist, they should do an European tour too they won't have to worry about selling enought tickets I'll just drag some people along. Hmmm I think my grandma will enjoy a day out hehe😏

LOL Yes your grandmother at a Jrock concert XD That would be great~

So they're STILL thinking on a bassist hmmm~ taht's kinda of weird... I mean since a bassist is kind of important... 😌 ...

Thank you so much for the interview Nan Desu Ka, that was very intriguing! I hope we hear more news!! <333 Yoshiki is so cute...That dorky grin of his makes me smile all the time.
