Help Yosegaki flag translation request

Hi

I recently obtained this flag at a local auction. Unfortunately, probably about 60 or so years ago going by the frame, someone thought it would be a good idea to paste the flag to a backing board for framing. Only discovered that when I went to remove the flag from the frame (which was broken). I would still like to find out more about what is written on the flag. A note stuck to the flag indicates a connection to Mandalay in April 1945. My understanding is that the battle for Mandalay occurred in late March 1945, so that may be plausible.

The Army of Emperor Jimmu

Emperor Jimmu, according to tradition, was the first emperor of Japan.
The rest are all names. I have no strong opinion on the veracity of the flag or the writings. It is an unusual inscription. I've never seen either of those two phrases before. The names look legitimate/plausible. Unfortunately there is no other marks or writing that would clearly identify the owner or location, however some of the surnames on it are quite common to the Ishikawa Prefecture area of Japan.

Many thanks for the info. The flag came from a house clearance. The house belonged to the vendors mother and the vendor had uncles who fought in the war. Other than that he was unable to provide any further information. It was in the loft and it was quite obvious from the amount of black dust on the glass it had been there for quite some time. Same goes for the frame. Given this, and how the flag had been treated i.e. stick to a board, I'm pretty confident it's an original flag.

Having had a look I did come across another flag referencing Emperor Jimmu.
