Hi, I'd like to have a deeper look ath the following phrase:

今日は疲れているようですね。
Kyō wa tsukarete iru yō desu ne

where tsukarete iru is supposed to be /tsukareru/ meant as -te + iru...what is the use of yō desu the thing is...why /desu/?

Would it not be just fine to say: Kyō wa anata ga tsukarete imasu, ne?

offcourse /ne/ means /aren't you?/

ようだ/です[You da/desu] means "to seem/look like" in that context.

今日は疲れているようですね。
You seem tired today.
