When I lived in Misawa Japan there was a resteraunt called cheese roll and noodle that had the best darn Yakisoba EVER.

I've been trying to find a good yakisoba recipe online and it seems like everyone has their own idea of how to make it. None of them even come close to what I'm used to. I was wondering if anyone here has a good recipe for yakisoba that I could try.

Tomato sauce over yakisoba is one of Niigata local food somehow called "Italian" there, invented by Haruzo Mikazuki in 1959.

The vegetables cooked in yakisoba can vary. Meat is usually pork but can be either omitted or substituted with bacon or even beef.

Personally, I believe in yakisoba cooked with "yakisoba noodles" made exclusively for this dish. Otherwise, you come up with an approximate--a close approximate if you're a good cook. 👍

You guys just makes me hungry.. I haven't eaten anything since dinner and it's 2:52am here.. Don't want to eat anything for dawn eating means 1g for belly..
 
I love having my yakisoba as filling for bread :D I usually just follow the recipe printed outside the noodle pack. It also comes with the yakisoba seasoning so all I have to do is to chop up whatever veggies I have (usually carrots and snowpeas, sliced thinly). I almost never put in meat but I'd like to try this with bacon, as epigene suggested.
