Worst spy-ware is this forum, harhar... just kidding!

Gator is hell indeed. Anyhow, I am using Crazy Browser, a IE6 derivative that allows tabbed browsing and has a popup blocker, so Gator and other scumware doesn't stand a chance to become active.

Secondly, I am running a bot and spy-ware killer every night (forgot which one, I'm not on my home PC at the moment, but it's not AdAware, I read they are scumware too).
