Wow - Something Great Happened To Me Today !!!!


Cool! What about noises and abberations? And manual tuning (sometimes it`s more fun than to trust auto functions. How does macro looks? I wanted Nikon CoolPix 5400, but my bills told me "forget it"
I picked Canon for that rotating LCD screen. Is it handy? How much time it takes for camera to be ready for a shot?

sorry for too many questions, but various reviews don`t answer them all, maybe you as the owner can clarify some :sorry:

well, i got it a little bit smaller tha窶樞? i would like to, but fingers don`t get tied into the knot while trying to use all those buttons and have a firm grip at the same time

looks like in many cases auto-focus is not really to be trusted, as well as colours on LCD a bit brighter than reality

but, on the other hand, i couldn`t do a lot of thigs with it.

i walked home from my friend. We had a lovely evening charring about a lot of staff that crossed our minds. While she with her dog were walking me half way she told me about nice letter some lady send her. Finny and warm letter about lady`s and her family`s experience of studing in England
half of the road i walked alone watching heavy clouds and lightening, guessing
who will be first - me or rain. All of a sudden old song of Elvis poped in my head "Let`s go on moonlight swim..."
Well, i felt like i want to jump as a little girl on one leg hitting pebble
i actually did when turned into the dark side street (cautiously looking around ), though there were no any stones unfortunatly

but not much to worry, if i`ll get all the screws loose and get off the cart my friend wil help me - she is psychiatrist
 
walked in a park today and saw a couple. They were both learning to roller skating.
Nothing unusual, except that, i bet, they hit their sixties Respect, people! go on! A few days ago i spotted on the street another elderly couple - both riding bikes, triyng to keep closer to the road curb. And there also few gentelmen which jog regulary, even when it`s raining. And, for sure there some other whom i didn`t notice yet, and their number increasing.
so, if now someone will tell me that 50 and above is an old age i`ll kick their *** and won`t feel sorry about that

50 and above old age? I'm 50 and sure don't feel it. I still feel like I did when I was 25. Sometimes I look in the mirror and ask myself, "Are you really 50? You sure don't look it or feel it. Not yet anyway."

So I would say, "Yes. Go ahead and kick their *** if they tell you that 50 is old!."

Ahem. I myself still enjoy it with as much vigor as I did in my 20's. But, (blush), only once a day is more than enough these days. Ok Ok sometimes twice, but those days are rare and are helped by Mr. Viagra.

maybe, when youngsters very often complain that they are so tired and/ or bored with life, it`s elders who can be an example? ☝
 
I passed my Kendo test for 1-Kyu today. I am officially the first American on Okinawa to achieve that rank. I had the highest score of all of the ones testing for 1-Kyu. I was twice as old as the next oldest tester, and I was the only one married with kids! I will test for sho-dan in November.

Compaq Presario SR1519, if that means anything to anyone. 17" TFT monitor, multimedia keyboard.

Just need to get a digital camera and photo printer then we're all set up!

i always thought it cheaper to print pics at the shop. I bought a printer 6 years and now cartridge costs above 1/2 price of a printer and a bother to find. It`s not true for UK? or you need for other purposes besides pics and will use frequently?
 
Yeah, it probably is cheaper to print pics at the shops, but we need a new printer anyway, so we might as well get one that does everything! It would be nice to take a photo, go upstairs and print it off, and present it to your friend a few minutes later, don't you think?
 
Yeah, those digital photo printers are great! I would love to have one!
I wanted to buy one for my cellphone when I was in New Zealand, then I could take a photo on my phone and print it off.
Also 'sometimes' there are photos that perhaps you dont somebody to look at? It would be much easier to print it off yourself to avoid any embarassment when picking up the prints. Also photo shops like to keep collections of 'interesting' photos.

That was the joys of printing our own pics at high school hahaha... just that we had to dry them out of anyone elses view...
 
I upgraded from a junior sized bed to a twin sized bed yesterday! The smaller one was giving me back problems, but last night I slept like a baby! 8)
 
well, i can`t go upstairs, since i don`t have any stairs, only 2 rooms So i`d just turn the screen and say "See, pal, how nice. If you want it - bring cd-rw and i`ll pour it down. And don`t forget a box of chocolate, btw! "
I need it rather for text (can`t read long from the screen), so, i hopefully will get some extra money by the end of the year and buy HP LaserJet and couple bottles of toner. Will be enough for 2-3 years of moderate printing, he-he
 
Not so much today, but I thought I'd share it. I went off to buy a new string for my bow. I got the string, but temptation got to me and I also bought a longbow. Got to play with it last night and it shoots like a dream. Just left me with a bit of a problem; Which bow do I now use on a regular basis? I have four, a take-down recurve, which I use the most; a short horse bow; a Japanese bow, which I only really use indoors; and now my longbow.
