Wow - Something Great Happened To Me Today !!!!

I found a thread to share my happiness! I will probably go to Quebec City in two weeks. That's a good new for me even if Quebec City is close. I don't go there frequently, that's why I'm happy and also because where I'm living it's really boring and Quebec is a city. There's more stuff to do there and it's the Quebec's birthday, the celebration of the 400th year of this city. There will be singers in the streets, Celine Dion will be there (I don't really like her) and maybe fireworks.

Anyway, I want to go to Montreal but my grandfather is really buzy and that's why I'm not sure if I will have the opportunity to go in this beautiful city (I love overcrowded places).
 
I just got the news today. Come February I'll be an uncle! My nephew is going to have a little brother or sister!

I'm still trying to get my brother to take my bet on it being a boy.

Its going to be great driving my sister crazy by spoiling my nephew and his future brother or sister!

Sadly, I got ahead of myself. . . My sister told me that she had a miscarage. My family was excited because she was four weeks in and the ultrasound machine picked up a heartbeat. It's hard not to think of what might have been and what great things the child could have done. All we can do his hug my sister and nephew and move on. . .

My sister had the same thing happen, and now she has two healthy daughters. Give them some time and it will all work out OK in the future. She is lucky to have family like you to support her in this hard time.

I too, am sorry to hear that. It can be such a disappointing thing when I couple is trying to have children, (and if not even trying, in many cases too, even) and loose that child by miscarriage. My heart goes out to them.

After a message like that it's kinda hard to tell about great things happening. If you won't say I'm a cruel bastard, then I'll tell something which really made me glad.

I got selected to the high school I sent the application letter to. I'm starting in August. It's a science-stressed school, and on year 2 we're making a field trip to Switzerland.
The problem is.. None of my "friends" (more like buddies) got picked in any school. Their GPA was too low. So, I get to study in an awesome high school, but with no friends.

Well, I'm going to be married on Saturday! It is really weird feeling!
I'm not nervous at all, but it's like... saying goodbye to a lot of things, if that makes any sense at all. It feels like being the condemned man whose whole life flashes in front of his eyes...!

I guess in a way it is like starting a new life, so saying goodbye to the old one makes sense.

I am ALL ALONE at the office today!!! YES!!!

I'm wearing a t-shirt and a pair of shorts instead of the usual "business" attire. Enjoying an ice-cold beverage with my feet up. Looking at web-sites I would not look at when others are around. The thermostat on the AC turned waaaaaaay down! It has been a few hours since I got here, yet not a single e-mail has even been opened!

Anyway...

I am a married woman now and my good news is that the day was really fantastic!!! We both had such an amazing time...

The honeymoon was in France, and we had to stay an extra 2 days because the car broke down! Then it broke down again in England on the way home and we didn't get back until 7.30 in the morning... very rock n roll.

More good news for me is that I move workstation soon, which means my boss (I have a new one) won't be looking over my shoulder and hopefully I can be on j-ref again a little more than I have recently!
 
I got a 74/80 on my math quiz from last week. And I thought I totally bombed it
 
My grandmother had heart surgery last night and she's doing good now!

I don't have 'news' to add... except I'm happy cos I'm going out tonight, but that's kinda normal
 
I actually passed MATH 407, and it was even a good enough grade to count towards my CS major. I thought for sure I was going to fail.
 
Well, mine isn't something that happened today... but I got accepted into University and I am now studying for an English degree so I can become an English Teacher.

Onse step closer to actually having a reason to go to Japan. I can teach English there! Hehe.

Haha. That bunny is adorable! Glad you got a new one. Take care of him, ok! And don't let him bite anybody... we've all seen Monty Pythin and the Holy Grail... those red eyes give me flashbacks.

P.S. If you haven't seen that film... go look up the killer rabbit scene.
