Wow - Something Great Happened To Me Today !!!!

Yo, folks!
Remember back in late September when I broke the news that I'd have a book length Archie comics story published? Well, that book, Archie & Friends #115 is now out, at least in comic shops anyway! It'll be in bookstores, newsstands and whatnot on January 8th. Below is a link to the Archie Comics website with the cover and the first two pages of the story:

At the risk of sounding like an egotripper, I must say I'm quite proud of this little accomplishment. Next to seeing a Pink Lady concert, being a published comic book writer was one of my fondest dreams, and now that dream has come true! Pretty darn cool, huh? of course, I hope to be able to write more stuff for Archie in the future. But for now, I mean to enjoy my fifteen minutes of fame!

Not only Happy New Years, but Congradulations and all !!! That sounds great !!

Way to go Flashjeff! You rock man. Next time I'm at the comic book shop I'll pick it up.

Congratulations, Flashjeff, nice work!

I don't have anything 'great' happened to me today... except that I am happy with life, as usual...

Hi! Is this the nice forum? Cuz I'm nice! I'm here to join the party.

It finally snowed for the first time this winter here, so that's something that I'm very happy about.

The sun is shining beautifully today and there is a small haze... it is like a dream. I saw two birds flying beside the train today... they flew off into the distance together and continued swooping and curving up and around and down and around together. It was so beautiful!

I saw snow falling every so gently tonight! I glared eyes wide open at all the street lights to catch glances of these rare snowflakes. So beautiful!

I'd be more than happy to send all our snowfall this winter to you, if you'd like !

Anything good happen to me today? Yes...I got my tests in on time, and my seminar (zemi) students got their graduation thesis done on time !! Easy sailing from Friday onward to the end of the semester !!

It rarely snows here in VA. It flurried a bit yesterday. But it was only for like 10 mins. I love snow. I wish we'd get lots of it.

According to the weather forecasts, we'll be getting plenty of it come tomorrow and Friday. Ah, something to look foreward too.

Anywho, I started learning katakana today, and I'm quite happy for that.

Well! That's cool. I had so much fun learning the Japanese ABCs! Once you learn them you can pretty much read anything and start learning Kanji.

Lol, i had fun today at school.
My friend's foot hurts so she needs to use the elevator at our school and i can join her.
No more walking the stairs. Just standing in the elevator :win:

Thats not just it, i teached 2 of my teachers how to write 'I love you' in japanese
They're both like... Whats that on the blackbord?

Anyway, im very jealous of you guys.
It never snows here.
It once did... But because of global warming we dont see snow like it used to.
(My parents tell me that they could play in the snow for weeks. Now its one day in a year or even none. )

I'm glad you had fun at school today. I wish I would have a great day! It's sweet how you taught your teachers that. My teachers aren't interested in such things. I wish you good luck to all your studies!!

About teaching my teachers, most of the teachers a more like aunts and uncles to me, because i know them very well.
I still call them sir, or madame (French way)
But, i can say everything to them.
And they all know im very interested in Japan.

But yesterday wasn't the perfect day for me.
But i think you can see it in my blog if you want.
If i have any time now

The snow fell today! It was so beautiful. It was the first heavy snowfall in Tokyo and I walked all the way to the train station with my mouth wide open, ready to catch each snowflack that fell toward my tongue.

The snow was gone when I came home tonight, though... how fleeting... how wonderful.

I went *shopping* With my boyfriend... wieeehhheheheheheh everythime I'm with him again I fal in love even more.

hmmmm well, i got a good grade on my manufacturing project at school which was 95% (A+). I made a CN tower out of aluminum and im really happy cause i hadno help whatsover LOl and proud of myself. I hadno idea i could pull it off

WOW, good for you K_von !

Always great to get an A+ on a project. Now you need to build a roof over your bed, LOL.

Uncle Frank

I looked up at the night sky and saw the stars, so beautiful, twinkling. They are magnificent tonight. It feels like they are talking.

I saw my lover today, on Valentine's day.

Okay, only briefly in the morning but we had our meal together last night, so...

It was a weird feeling to wake up this morning and look at my boy and think, 'This is the person I'll be waking up next to on Valentine's day for the rest of my life'. And then I realised that, hey, I'm absolutely fine with that. And realised that I've found happiness.

(After all, I still have the other 364 days to wake up with strangers... I kid, I kid! )

You know what's great that's happening to me today? I'm on my first translating project for endless abyss!

I've been living a very hectic life lately, hence my (most likely unnoticed) absence from the forum. This stress came from an overabundance of projects that just kept piling up. Well, after sorting things out in my head and on paper, I've found a glimmer of light that signals the ending of this tunnel of dispair, and I'm on the road to being caught up on all the things I was putting off 'til later.

Anywho, just thought that was something to be thankful for, and what a coincidence that I come about this revelation on a day of celebration. Happy Valentine's Day!
