23, I live in a gaijin house in Kanagawa, some 20 minutes from either Yokohama or Tokyo.
I've been in Japan for a year. Can't speak any Japanese beyond the most BASIC level. Haven't really made active efforts to learn. Just passive learning for me.
But I don't need Japanese it seems. Got plenty of friends japanese and foreign. Half the girls you talk too prefer you too speak english. So they can 'learn'. In fact the girl that uses you like a walking free english lesson is the worst girl in the world.
Oh I work as a Mcenglish teacher in one of the McEnglish schools. Nova. :?
