Which Japanese first names do you like the best?

I think it's the "Hiro" part for me. It sounds nice to my ears! I like Hirotaru as well.

yuri, yuriko, yuki means?
 
some japanese names are pritty interesting. and almost anything can be a name. i dont have a name for boy but i think for girl a good one would be yuriko rika and kokoro.i know kokoro sounds strange but almost anything can be a name and kokoro is a strong meaning ^^
 
My favorites? Mitsuyo (Mie for short) and Keiko (Kei for short), which just so happens to be the names of the lovely ladies in my avatar!

Somehow I kept missing this thread..

Only as far as my wife is Japanese which makes Kai mixed.

My parents are British and my sis and I are first generation Aussies.

Kai was going to be Daniel Kai until my sister said she really liked the name Kai and that her son Zac's best friend was named Kai. He is Australian.

So that then swyaed to Kai Daniel which made my wife happy

Kai is actually a popular name now in Australia for boys...

Do you have children and are you Japanese?
 
I like Ryo, it really sounds very Man like! ; p
I use to have a friend name Takeshi, and like his name a lot!!
 
I love the sounds of girls names ending in Ko (chid)... like Reiko (Spirit child) and Tsukiko (Moon Child) and Hanako (Flower Child).

Those names could have a lot of different meanings, and it depends on the Chinese characters used to write the name. It's all very tricky stuff....
 
For the ladies, I particularly like Reina, Reiko, Michiko, and Sayaka.

For the guys, I tend to like Kenji, Taka, Takatora, and Shinji

I agree with 'Sayaka'. I don't know where I heard it, but when I did, I loved it.
Reiko is my favourite so far. Haha.

I hate to sound dumb, but what does kokoro mean?

Kenji and Ayumi are my favourites so far.
 
Kokoro is the name of one of my characters in a comic I have! My favorite name is Ai. (after Yume of course)
 
For some reason I like Naoki, Kenta and Kaori. The first two for boys the last one for girls. Although, I think all these names have a certain feminine ring to it. But that's just me.
