Hello, recently started learning Japanese and wondered what router I should go in learning.

I've learnt all the hiragana/katakana signs with their dots and doodahs. Should I learn words in hiragana until I have a decent vocabulary or start learning kanji, or both?

When I learn the hiragana on memrise.com you also shows me the word with any kanji involved. Should I keep learning those words and any kanji that appears in them?

My view is that they should all be learned together and separately. That is, spend time with Japanese in its true form (I guess you could all it), but also study the grammar, vocabulary, and kanji on their own. There's overlap there, too, so they'll all reinforce each other.
