where should i stay in japan?

hello everybody
well i'm planning on going to japan to study japanese there for only 3 months, but i'm still negotiating with my parents cause it won't be cheap...
so, i found four language schools there, that they will find me a host family and everything, but prices varies from each school, and i'm confused
the most expensive one is in fukuoka and then tokyo and it's hard to choose cause they almost have the same activities and studying hours
then i got gifu and the cheapest one, kanazawa ~~~~
well i don't want to go to kanazawa or gifu cause they are cheap and then get bored cause there is nothing to do or no where to go ( i know i'm going to study but well i want to go out and have fun too)
so i wanted to ask you if you got any information about those gifu and kanazawa, do you think it's a good idea to stay 3 months in one of those 2?

Kanazawa is one of the top vacation destinations for Japanese people. There's a ton of stuff to do and see. I've been to the Eurocenters school there twice and am thinking of going again next year. Which can't be the one you are considering. Even short term -- it is very, very good but definitely ain't cheap !
