WHAT?! You can't go! You have too many interesting things to say to claim you 'can't contribute'! You have certainly made me think more carefully about what I say and how I say it, so that's a contribution to me at least. So stay, please!

I miss lexico a lot, too. I love his wicked humor.

It's like there is a huge hole on this forum without him. I think he is one of those core members who make this place so active and interesting.
 
Just on a side-note: at the bottom of the front page there is a feature called "Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours" (in alphabetical order), according to which the member in question is still a regular visitor.
 
I Heard A Rumor.......

he is in a full body cast(hands & arms too), so he is logging on the Forum with a pencil in his teeth poking at the keys in painfully slow agony. Although it gets him logged on to read the posts, (his teeth being dentures) , they fall out with the pencil when he attempts to do a post. As soon as the cast is removed , he will be back good as new. Please keep your wonderful comments about him coming, they will help him heal faster. The rumor says he was injured while stoping a group of evil intending North Korean spys single handedly. Luckly he talked them all to death before they could kill him. Be patient , he will return soon. Look for the news story on CNN where he is awarded South Korea's highest award for bravery My eyes brim over with tears of pride , we have such a great member as a part of JREF !!

A big Hurray !!! For the effort to get him back to the old posting grounds. I also did notice that, and, to be honest, kind of thought that maybe he was somewhat in a situation similar to mine, with the teaching and all, but just was a bit more self-disciplined than myself--I have sacrificed homework checking and helping my seminar students with some (actually much needed) help on their graduation reports to be on-line, posting here.

But, I wonder. I do think he'll be back soon. Even I have not been looking around at all the things here since late September.

I wasn't paying attention. Did we have a huge online wailing and gnashing of teeth in commemoration of the recent anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks? Or is it only the Hiroshima/Nagasaki anniversaries that elicit those?

May be Lexico is tired of being a celebrity.
Or may be he has some new issues or works to delve into so no more times spending on JREF.
Anyway it's natural, I thought he was too diligent before, his energy amazed me.

Well, it's been a week now since Lexico even logged on. He was the first friend I made on this forum (on any forum!) and if it weren't for him I don't know if I would have stayed on to make more friends. So if you are listening somewhere Lexico-sama, thank you for making me feel welcome, and I miss you!
 
I have about half the mind to go to South Korea and drag his veggie eating butt back online. I want my snail pictures dang it!

He may be out of commission for a spell with genuine reason for an
emergency problem, holiday, getting over his self-admitted boredom of being on too long :0) whatever. There's bound to be a resurfacing, or at least sighting, at some future point....maybe that fellow linguist Tamach (?) could be incentive enough. ☝
 
I miss lexico, too.

I feel ashamed that I didn't notice him slip away . . .

What a painful lesson to realize that someone so important . . . I could take them for granted.

I do wish he would return. But, wherever he is and whatever he is doing, I wish lexico well.
