I can not find Lexico's new post around there days~ .Where has Lexico gone,
Dose he have his long holiday?or ,tired of write his long post?

Looking forward to Lexico's new post...

I have noticed Lexico's apparent absence too! We miss you Lex!

Just as I add him to my buddy list, he leaves! He's a wonderful guy, and I really miss his insightful posts.

The last time I talked to him on the forum, he told me that he was dealing with some trolls on another forum, so maybe he's still preoccupied there?

I was wondering that, too. I hope everything's OK. I miss him.

Me too, his last post was like 2 weeks ago or something, if it is not longer...

Maybe he is working a lot ( HOPE HOPE HOPE), well just also hope he is coming back soon!!! I miss him too!!!!

He has been visiting on a regular basis, but I hope he is alright. Tried PMing him myself, but I get the message that his folder is full.
Plaese start posting Lex, your insights are fun to read.

I tried PMing him two weeks ago when I noticed his absense, and yet his folder is full. He must get a lot of fan mail.

I hope he starts replying back, otherwise I am going to find out his e-mail and see if he's okay.

I hope he comes back soon. He always had something insightful to say.

haha, HE NEVER EMPTY HIS MAILBOX, HE told me yeah.. Being a donator.. you are able to get a lotttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt aaa Pm's... so guess he IS HAVING FANS.. mmm

patiently we wait.. and wait.. and wait

I miss Lexico too. He might be on holiday or something ?

Maybe....

since 90% of the posts are now J-Rock, he has nothing to say..It seems lately, if a post has nothing to do with J-Rock, it's ignored. If there's nothing on a Forum to catch your interest, why bother wasteing time on it; plenty of other forums on the web to go to. I have to admit, when you spend a lot of time on the Forum, it sure gets hard to come up with new & interesting threads.

I shall ignore the above post with suitable disdain.

Maybe Lexico's computer went kaput?

I'm sure your about to feel the collective wrath of the j-rockers
Love your avatar, you've got them back

That was my first thought as well. It seems obvious he (and a number of others) had/have become more and more inactive because of it.

It's a good reason to go inactive, I must say.

J-rock Is A Part Of This Forum, No Problem There !

The problem is the Forum should be a good mix of "ALL" things about Japan. We members need to try and keep the Forum interesting to all people. The Forum will go stale with just one topic day in and day out. It doesn't matter if everypost was on Japanese food, or all on anime, or J-Rock; a limit of topics will hurt the Forum. In todays society, boredom hits fast; a forum with one main topic is not going to do well, regardless of what the "ONE" main topic is. Variety is the spice of life is soooo true. We have members from around the world of all ages & interests, we have to "try" to please all of them if we want them to be active and return here.If we banished J-Rockers from JREF, it would not do a thing to help our Forum; we need good posts and new threads that are of interest to all. When someone makes an effort to post a new thread, we should try to read and reply to it if at all possible. Maybe if you can think of nothing to add to a good post, you can give the person some rep points to let them know you appreciate their effort.
I guess my point is, don't pick on the J-Rock group for taking over the Forum, it's up to all members to keep the Forum varried & interesting. Let's all try (especially some of our newer members) to post some new threads on different topics. Our members who live in Japan have a head start on things they can post to do with Japan, maybe they can help?

I guess we just have to stay out of the J-Rock/Pop forums. I mean, it takes about 15 minutes to load one page, because they've got so many HUGE pictures, use thousands of smilies, and have HUGE signatures.

I mean, seriously, it makes me want to *cry* because the signatures are so *huge*. OMG. ☝ Even after the many posts we've made about the *signature rules* But that Miyavi, he's so hottttttttttttttt... :atsui: He looks like a chick, but man, is he hotttttttttttttt. *drops to the floor and has a kicking and screaming fit like a brat* *scared*

Anyway, it's just something we have to deal with. More people with different interests need to start threads in different areas. Don't be shy! Don't *runs away scared*... ☝

Looks as if you have been practicing your j-rock posting Kirei. Miyavi!! I always took you for a Jim Morrison fan
Personally I think the J-rock has dropped off recently. A few months a go when you put in New posts there were more J-pop section than there is now. I think mikecash mentioned it.

Noooo, don't go inactive on us Kinsao
I'll be forced to use Mr. Crab:crab:

I love the Lizard King. Miyavi's got nothing on him.

I had that same frustration, too, before. I recently tried out the Don't Show Pictures option, though, and have been wallowing in picture-overload-free bliss ever since. At first I thought it would take out pictures altogether, but the option just makes it a link you can choose to click on or not. I wish there was something like that for smilies, though....

Well, they can get rather vicious, I'd warn you guys ;-)

Ooh, nice recovery!

I've seen some topics as virtual stickies in the jrock forum, some with over 1,000 replies, or even 3,000. Some replies in these are really short, so maybe such conversations, with their chatty nature, could benefit being freer in the chatroom? A lot of the fans are high-school age, so maybe it's natural because high schools can be a little oppressive sometimes, and they thrive in this sub-community where they've found others finally sharing similar interests. (Although it may be because of these similar interests that new topics don't come up often there).

And, er, maybe we should split topics? Poor Lexico's might end up reading this and think we're starting to abandon him, as far as this discussion goes

The J-Pop thread is actually one of the reasons why I do not post on here much. The number of people starting deep and engaging converstations is just few and far inbetween compared to the J-Pop section of the forum.

Doc

I don't even notice the j-pop threads, so they don't bother me. Well, only if I post in the Games & Consoles thread and within the time it takes to go back to the main page my post has been usurped off the 'latest post in entertainment' bit by a j-pop post - which ALWAYS happens!

But to go back to the topic LEXICO, LEXICO, WHEREFORE ART THOU LEXICO?

Edit: I have just spied on Lex, and he logged on today, so he's out there somewhere. Strange. I guess we have to come up with a topic to catch his interest. How about "Are brains a sea squirt's staple diet?"

Interesting indeed! We have Lex the lurker.... ^^
I miss him though... come back, Lexico! Don't lurk...

May I say goodbye? I don't want to start a thread to say it. :sorry: I just feel it's better if I'm not around anymore, I can't contribute, but it would seem rude to just disappear when everyone is so friendly, and big-headed to start a whole thread.

Uhhhh.... cheerio then guys and girls...... :joyful:
