What's being said?

Just finished working my way through an audio story, and there's few parts I'm unsure about. One scene in particular I struggled a lot with, so the parts I didn't get I put in an audio clip, if someone could please help me understand them. There's a few other parts but I think it's enough for now and I hope I'm not asking too much. :sorry: I've put in my own guesses.

This scene (same scene throughout, hence the similar background noise) is basically set in an alternate world (in Germany) and two bad guys are trying to persuade a soldier to do something for them:

1) しかし「？？'話'？」、一騎当千の能力を「？」決してひるむことのない兵士をたいりょうにかかえることができたどうしたら・・・それはどうだ？
少ない数で体力に、敵軍は次々と撃滅することが「？」
頭いい。ならば「？」、貴様にその力を授けると言った・・・どうする。

2) (After the soldier asks if he can have some time to think)
考える時間を「？'やまやま？」ね。ことは「？'きゅうよう'？する」のだよ。こうしてる「？」ドイツ国民が苦しんでるだよ。

3) (Preceeding line: "We've settled the negotiation...")
ならば曹長には「さすぐ？」準備にかかっていただこうか。

4) (Soldier seems worried - then someone comes in to take him somewhere.)
大丈夫。じきに何も君「？」
入りたまえ。
曹長どのをどこへ「？」くれぐれもしつれいのないようにな。

hello here are my thoughts mabye you can think about it, I listened to this like 50 times and am stuck on similar parts, then someone else can correct it

^ is ならなくなる conditionnal? I thought なくなる was only used in writing, unless I am getting confused. なくなる is a negative right?

気にならないようになる makes sense, maybe?

Thank you, guys! I've been stuck on this scene forever and it's great to see it in its (accurate!) entirety.

Just two things: is the last part "ドッグ" or "ドック"? I've not come across the former... "take him to the dog"?
And this line: "しかしもしもの話だが" - what's the meaning of 話 here?

I, too, think it would be "dock", but he said ドッグ. So, I thought it might refer to something unique in the story, then I wrote it down as what I heard.

"However, a what-if... what if we were to conceal the power of a mighty warrior (?) that our unfaltering soldiers would be able to use in large quantities... what about that?"
"It would be possible to put together troops with fewer numbers, and destroy the enemy armies one by one."

The latter. The speaker is saying to the soldier to take the sergeant major to the dock.

I see! Okay, to check, because I'm not 100% sure, so if I've understood this right:

一騎当千の能力を秘め modifies 兵士. 能力を秘める means something like "to have a secret ability (of ~)" here.

Ah. Since the line following the 「・・・ようにな」is "the country's future depends on the [soldier]", is the first part directed to the soldier, and 「くれぐれも・・・」directed to the sergeant major? (I always thought it was an assistant or something. )

can someone explain to me what a "what if" is in English. or is that the beginning of a larger sentence. "What if I bought you a present?" for example.

"What if" is used when asking about a hypothetical situation. Tends to be about something bad, but not always. It's short for "what would happen if..." "what would you do if...", etc. Using it on its own doesn't make any sense.

"I'm going to throw a party!"
"And what if it rains?"

"I can't go to that restaurant! What if he's there?!"

"Hey, what if there were unicorns?"

"What if the Germans had won WWII?"

You can also use it to reflect back on something that might have happened, like: "what if I hadn't missed that train..." To me, when it's used with the past, it's usually expresses relief. "What if I hadn't taken my keys... I'd have been locked out!" but again it can be used for positive and negative scenarios.

Technically "what-if" is a noun, but it sounds strange in English in the singular.

I think we can all get like that about our native tongue sometimes, when we're actually made to think about something we just tend to accept as it is. I had to think for a few minutes before I wrote it. Especially the noun part, I've heard "stop thinking about the what-ifs" but not "a what-if", I'd probably be more inclined to call it "a what-if scenario."

Sorry, that wasn't in the audio clip - different part of the audio I cut out. The soldier (possibly 曹長) agrees to do what they want, which is followed by the line:

話はまとまりました。ならば曹長には早速準備にかかっていただこうか。

He then goes to what sounds like a phone, picks it up and says 「俺だ。曹長を頼む。」

He's talking to someone not the 曹長. He's saying they should have the 曹長 hurry and get ready, then he says "It's me. Take care of the sergeant major for me (or "I entrust him/her to you")."

Ah! That makes perfect sense, thank you! Sorry for all the questions, I've only just realised he was the 曹長 because it neither mentions his rank nor is he referred to as such anywhere else (he's actually called 隊長 later on.)

So is 準備にかかる to get ready, and the いただこう part because he's doing something for them?

Yeah, pretty much. "Start to get ready" or "enter preparations" may be more accurate, though:

物事に着手する。しはじめる。「仕事に―・る」「取り壊しに―・る」

(Addressing someone on a radio. A radio term? エスピルド？ He asks if the Delta team can hear him, then: )

はい！「？？？」 I really can't understand this guy... I think I heard '全員'?

我々にとってみれば復活と「いうり？」、生まれ「変わり？」を意味するRE:BORNと言うべきだな・・・気が付けば体は機械だと「訳だしな？」

(Giving a speech before going to start a rebellion.)
我々は「？」ドイツ軍は「？」ハレマイエル機関にたいし反抗作戦を開始す。ただし、なるべ「？」出すな。

(About to march out. This is a guess.)
「かっこうに？ 第二せんとうたいせ！」

(Different scene, unsure about the meaning of the first word and what he says at the end.)
しょうせん？機器は機械ということが・・・一度壊れたら・・・「？」
