What would you be doing right now if you were in Japan. If you already are in Japan: What are you doing? But I'm really curious of what you would be doing (What you dream of doing) in Japan.

yumeitsumo,
It's obvious that you don't know much about the place (no offense intended) because you just said you'd wake up and visit a manga shop on a work day. Wouldn't you be working instead? Maybe I was just thinking too logically because I'm not a tourist here. I live here.
What do you know about Japan?
And, why ask the question you did? There are easier ways to get info on Japan.
Nope. This statement ("I don't exactly know what it's like to be there yet.") and the fact that the profile says the OP is an American who has never been here before say otherwise.Glenski san, perhaps she ...has worked at an eikaiwa in past times in Japan, and had strange days off (as many of us have done)?
Sounds to me like a real anime/manga addict with very little real experience of Japan. I found it strange that the biography says "I love Japan. Japan is my life." (much like my Japanese HS students who say X is my life over very trivial X's.Or perhaps she just wants to dream a little about a different life in a different country? Or about one country she has a particular interest in, or perhaps just daydreaming for daydreaming's sake?
Does any of it really matter on a forum like this?
If you already are in Japan: What are you doing?
I'd be on Jref, typing away!
"You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."
Desiderata
I'd be interested to find out what Japan-based members think they'd be doing if they were back in the country of their birth (or upbringing).
To qualify to answer I would say people have to have spent at least five years here. Be married, self employed or property owners i.e. to have an investment in Japan that would require more than simply turning up at Narita to leave behind.
...(my edit)...
