what is the verb-forms

Hi all,

I would like to ask you about verb forms of the following forms:

- て form
- ない form
- じしょ form
- た form

what is the meaning of every verb if we add this verb-forms to the verb ?
what is the rules of adding the suffix of verb like て I've seen many groups I,II and III.

if any one can provide me with hiperlink with easy way to understand them, I'll be grateful to you because I've Japanese exam very soon.

て form: amoog other things, by itself means another verb follows, means "and" and has a mild cause and effect meaning. You can google it and find loads more info, check out Tae Kim's guide too.

私は食べて飲みなす。I eat and drink.

ない: plain present negative.

私は食べない。I do not eat.

た: plain past.

私は食べた。I ate.

unfortunately, maybe you don't know what is the verb forms. what have you mentioned is according to exact meaning word by word like in English "look out " out is not a preposition which mean look outside, it's phrasal verb and means ( be careful ).

so please for any Japanese person or strong in Japanese language to give the answer.

たべる- to eat (this is the じしょ form of the word by the way)
たべない (ない form of the verb)
たべて (て form of the verb)
たべた (た form of the verb)

じじょ、て、ない、た are not verbs themselves. Therefore what you want by asking for their verb form is unclear.
