Weird phrase help

one of the things i find annoyance reading Japanese is not being able to find answers to various phrases and expressions and "this-that-this-that" type adjectives(supposedly "sound" mimics"). For example I need help with this:

咽が一番の大元という感じ。

????what's wrong with the throat????

also this:
咽がエガエガしている

i mean i know it's something wrong with the throat, but i can't find a definitive answer to exactly what it refers to

weblio, goo, kotobank need to greatly increase their index, my casio japanese translator is also not as good as i believe it once was

The kanji 大本 is more common for おおもと.

エガエガ is understandable but quite rarely used. It means イガイガ.

Seems that the problem is not only on the dictionary side, since you might tend to come across rare examples like 流れるようにだるい...
