I am thinking of starting a Weekly Squabble Club in Yokohama.
I wonder how many people here would be interested.
I have with me original Mattel SCRABBLE card, self made Hiragana Squabble Card, and Kanji Radical SQUABBLE card.
I was thinking if we can meet weekly somewhere in Nishiguchi or Minatomirai, we can select a cozy restaurant or teahouse to hangout which have enough big tables and providing nice atmosphere for inteligent conversation and wordplay.

Let me know how many of you are interested.

I would be, if you could have a charter near whare I live.
In fact, if you could hook up a couple of PC's with a camera, we could also do this both off and on-line for some people who can't be there for pressing circumstances. ;-)
Or would that allow for dishonest gaming?

Thanks for the interest lex...wish I could send you a free ticket so that we can hangout in TGIFriday Yokohama. Or perhaps once I got my job hunting thing settled, I would fly to Seoul, and inaugurate our first game club there ;)

Well, thank you, that would be nice, I'd be the rubber necker from Korea asking everyone I meet, korewa nandeska?
That would be funny, hah!
Hey, if you ever get to expand your market to this part of the globe, I'll try to muster up some support from the local kanji masters/lovers!
Koreans have recently rekindled their love for kanji learning, and every other kid braggs about their latest kanji certification.
It's probably one of those fads that come and go, but it's always good to see it come back!
Now does that buy me the title president of the chapter? :D

I have some idea for the new generation of the Youso squabble game, I will have something to show you perhaps after I got fixed on a job.

Fair enough, first things first, ax.
In the mean time, I'd like to find some nice Oracle Shell & Bone Character site where they have a good 500+ characters all analyzed for ppl interested in ツ甲ツ最凪?「ツカナスナ。. Have you heard of one? I have two or three books by ヒ?「ツ什窶廸ナスナク (second kanji should be ツ十 with a ⾡ "walk" underneath it; it doesn't show; the radical in ツ進, I just can't find the character!), and he is supposed to be a 說窶「ツカ窶ーテーナスナ。 specialist. But my language block keeps me from all the good Japanese sites. When you land a good one, could you help me find one?
Wishing you best of luck, in the old saying, 窶愿シツ春窶佚・窶ケg!

On the second thought, why don't we start a weekly game club in Tokyo.
Now that I don't live in Tokyo anymore, or just all across Japan. Pick a place and go there on Shinkansen.
I just got back from a game club in Taipei last week and their game club there is flourishing. We went to tea mountain in miaokong and enjoy all kind of board games from settlers of catan, up and down the river rummy, scrabble, up words, art auction games and you name it.
I really had a great time there and would like to have this kind of fun in Japan as well. So if anyone is interested, let's start a game club right here in Japan.

We finally had our first game club at McD yesterday. Games of our choice includes scrabble, up words, Jabble, Jumbo Jack, and Kanji Professor 3.
