MORE INFO:
JAPANESE STREETS has been nominated for The 7th Annual Webby Awards in the
Fashion category. As a nominee, JAPANESE STREETS is eligible for two of the
internet industry's most sought-after awards: The Webby Award and The
People's Voice Award. This honour signifies the highest standard of
excellence.

ABOUT THE WEBBY AWARDS
The Webby Awards are chosen by The International Academy of Digital Arts and
Sciences. The Academy is an intellectually diverse organization that
includes over 480 members such as musicians Beck and David Bowie, Internet
inventor Vint Cerf, political columnist Arianna Huffington, Real Networks
CEO Rob Glaser, "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, "Smart Mobs" author
Howard Rheingold, Oracle chairman Larry Ellison, and The Body Shop president
Anita Roddick. Members also include writers and editors from publications
such as The Nation, Wired, Forbes, BusinessWeek, Fast Company, Elle, The Los
Angeles Times, Zagat, and WallPaper.

ABOUT THE PEOPLE'S VOICE
While the Academy selects The Webby Awards' winners, the online public
selects The People's Voice Award winners. With frequently different results,
including write-in candidates, some people are as honoured to receive the
People's Voice vote of confidence as it indicates a strong following by a
site's visitors.

AWARDING
Winners will be revealed on June 5th, 2003, in San Francisco.

Wow, congratulations on such a prestigious nomination! Very well deserved btw, I hope you get the Webby for your efforts.
:D

All my congratulations ! I think it's well merited. :) Your site is really wonderful !

Do you always have to ask people to pose for you. That must be arduous. How do they usually react when you introduce yourself ?

And how are people to remember where they bought their clothes? :)

Congrats from me too! 🙂

People, don't forget to vote for Japanese Streets. I finally received my Webby Award password after 5 days of waiting, lol! Kjeld currently ranks third in the Fashion category, competing with two large, purely commercial sites.

Show your support for a fellow J-webmaster! :)

There's still time. :)

Hey, Kjeld, want something similar to www.style.com to your website? Gimme a call. :D

lol just yanking your chain, mate. If you had a website similar to style.com, you wouldn't be in the Webbys because Style.com is already in it.

Good luck. :)

Well, it appears Kjeld doesn't have to travel to San Francisco to pick up his award...
