Does this sentence make any sense? My friend I met on the nintendo forums knows a lot of japanese and he made this sentence! Pretty impressive, what is he saying here? He's only been studying it since 2004.

And he's only in 10th grade!

the subject line is "my hobbies are video games, movies and music."

the second line is "my mom doesn't speak japanese, but she speaks english often." although I would say "de" instead of "(w)o"

last one, to say "I had tacos for dinner," I would say "bangohan toshite tacos wo tabemashita." As it stands, it sounds like his dinner ate the tacos. Still not bad for a 10th grader, how long has he been studying?

(But she speaks English well). "Eigo de" is more literally "speaks in English."
