Using から for time limits?

Hi there. I got the following question in my book:

' きょう、クラスはなんじにはじまりましたか。なんじにおわりますか。'

Problem is, my book hasn't bothered to tell me how to explain what time something starts and ends. I believe から is used to do so, but I can't recall. Could someone help?

( I wish my book would actually teach me these methods instead of just throwing it on my lap -_- )

から: from/since （mark the origin of things, in time or space)
まで, until

If your classes begin at 8:00 and end at 12:00 then you can say 「クラスは8時から12時までです」

始まるのは8時です、終わるのは12時です。

The answer they want is in the question.

Replace なんじ with the time and you have the answer. They've taught you....you just didn't notice it. The answers to questions in beginner level texts can typically be answered by "recycling" the question and just substituting the "answer" word for the "question" word.
