use of あるていど

usually used at the start of a sentence, how do you use it when you are saying you agree to an extent.
eg. 伝統をまもったほうがいいという意見にさんせいです
eg. 伝統をまもったほうがいいという意見 (はあるていど）さんせいです
right or no?

I, particularly, would use 部分的に賛成.
But only because I'm not sure about the nuances of ある程度 in this situation

Right. It's 伝統を守ったほうがいいという意見に / は / には、ある程度賛成です。
(は and には perform as a contrastive marker here. It has a nuance of "I disagree with another opinion, but I agree with that opinion.")

FYI, an adverb usually modifies the verb/adjective right after it.
Thus, ある程度伝統を守ったほうがいい or 伝統をある程度守ったほうがいい means "it's better to keep tradition to an extent", whereas 伝統を守ったほうがある程度いい is "it's better to an extent to keep tradition".
