Hi all
Been looking through some old books of mine and it started my thinking and getting mixed up.
Please help if you can shed some light on this. Remember I'm talking from a karate students perspective....

Gankaku, was known as crane on a rock. I know it's not a direct translation as such but what does the Kaku mean in the context of this name. What does the word Kaku do to words when it joins them?

Any thoughts. Thank you.
