Did anyone else ever listen to this band? They're called UNDER17 and do this kind of electronica-synth-pop really ultra happy hyper music and the girl who's singing has an ULTRA squeaky voice, sounds like a mix of ALL cute anime characters there ever was except they'd be five-years-old ... :LOL:

Their music is kawaii! (Most people would say it was annoying)

Problem is, I can't seem to find any info on them in the internet; the few pages that exist are in japanese.. :?

If ANYONE happens to be a big UNDER17 fan, they could please post on this thread and tell me about them a little.. I'd like to see them live if possible (when I go to Tokyo)

to anyone who's never heard of them; if you think they sound OK, you should definitely check them out, but to those who think my description of UNDER17 doesn't sound too good, avoid them! You either love them or HATE them! :LOL:

I personally never heard of them. And I do watch latest hit shows ..
The coolest all "kiddy" new group I have heard recently was We need KISS ! 👍 But I don't suppose we could call them JPoP now can we ... :eek:
 
Yes, I'm finally comming to Tokyo, after having saved up money for what feels like ages... yay! 🎊

Do, I don't think UNDER17 is the kind of band you'd usually see in any hit shows, they'd not be famous in that way... They don't really do Jpop, but more electronica sort of.

They have been doing a lot of songs for various animes, like Nurse Witch Komugi-chan (great anime by the way) and Popotan. The singer has also done some great voice acting for anime, she has as already mentioned a really special voice...

Seems like no ones ever heard of them... :?

If they went as far as doing anime music there should be more fans to them out there. But perhaps you would find better luck with Japanese audience as we non-japanese fans always aim for the up and famous ones :p :p

If you want an alternative to J-pop, check out Takako Minekawa.
Her music (much of which she produces herself) is a mixture of electronica, guitars, pop melodies, a bit of everything - and she has a really sweet voice.

I'm not sure when her last record was but she often releases outside Japan on a label called 'Emperor Norton'
 
didn't Under17 preform at anime con is the US last year? :?
 
Maybe they did... Man, I would really like to see them!

They did songs for the Popotan anime and Nurse Witch Komugi-chan... both which are really good animes!
 
They also did songs for certain hentai game titled "Majokko a la Mode".
"Nostalgia" being one of them. And the song and the game characters are WAAAY too cute to be hentai. D:

But there are videos of this band at youtube! There are not kids... they just have very squeaky voices :p
