I am trying to use a Samsung, flat screen TV (a cute small one) here in the US. It's originally my husbands that he bought in Japan. I have cable TV and plugged the cable into the TV and I thought it would just work. Well, it gets all of the channels, sort of. They are all at least 1 channel off, like 56 is 55. But, then when I get to 62 the whole sequence starts over so 63 becomes 1. Then if I click through the channels again, some of them just go to a blue screen. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? I really like using that TV because it's not big and isn't so bright, because I sleep with the TV on, and this one doesn't bother my husband so much.

It sounds like it needs retuning, assuming it doesn't tune automatically. Without knowing the model of Samsung I can't help but I would expect there is a menu control somewhere with something like an 'autosetup' option which will go through, autodetect your channels and then set up them accordingly.

If you let me know the model of Samsung I can probably look it up.

I am going to check out the model of TV right now...of course the remote and all are in Japanese..so I hope that's not a problem! :) Thanks a bunch! I hope you can get it working better!
