Trip hop, japan, a love story ?

Hi people,
This is my first post here, but i've been listening to japanese music (mostly Jazz/Electronic/Hip-hop and 窶ｹvﾂ静 ﾂ湘ｷ since years, and something never ceases to amaze me :
do Japanese artists have a secret talent for producing incredibly good trip hop master piece ?
Thinking about Nujabes, Nomak, Krush, Michita, Lems, Dj okawari, Tsunenori, woodlbue and probably a lot of others i don't know yet (if any advices, feel free ...
I don't know any other country that provides that much wicked artists in a row ( at least for this style but i may be too much "Japan" focused.
Anyway, could it be something about japanese "spirit" ? I'm wondering ...
