Help Translation

I would really love to learn Japanese, so I went to find out how to actually fully introduce myself, like my name, age, residence, hobbies, job, interests and all that sort of stuff. Cause how would you make your own Japanese profile if you don't have a good "about me"? Unfortunately the only thing I can come up with till now is my name, age and residence because lots of websites teach you how to do that, but I haven't seen one that teaches you how to thoroughly introduce yourself. So if anyone could help me with that, I would really appreciate it.

P.S. - Only translation is not really gonna help me, so if you could explain things like sentence structure, the words used, etc, that would really help me out. And Romaji after Hiragana would really help a lot too, thank you in advance.

P.P.S. - If this sounds more like a demand than a request, I apologize by all means.

I understood your intention but asking how to write a through self-introduction and explation on each grammatical points is like asking for writing an entire grammar book...

If you already learn some basic things, you can try it yourself first, then ask for correction or phrase/sentence you do not know how to make.

There're so far only two errors, and I think they are not really mistake but more like typing errors.

どうぞよろしくお願いします。

I do not know schooling system in Netherlands, so I'm not sure if middle school = 中学校. In Japan, 中学校 (usually translated as junior high school) is for 3 years, from 13 years old till 15 years old, which is followed by 高校 which is also 3 years, from 16 till 18.

@undrentide - Yeah I think I meant 高校 since I graduated around my 18th, so that must be right.

(どうぞ) lol, yup I've noticed, a typing mistake, I wrote dozo instead of douzo.

@katsumoto - A arigato! I think 今 is just the right one to use there, looks better than さて...

Well, thanks again, gonna go study again.

By the way, I just typed my own sentence in Japanese and wanted to see if it's correct. 日本人学ぶと難しいです。 nihonjin manabu to muzukashii desu. （What do you think?)

戦士 looks like an occupation rather than a name in that sentence, probably because it's not common as a person's name. It's better to say 戦士といいます or 名前は戦士です to avoid to be misunderstood.;-)

As a conjunction, さて is more appropriate in that context.

What did you want to say? I suppose 日本人(Japanese as a nation, Japanese people) would be 日本語(Japanese as a language)...

"Japanese" could mean either people or language, same goes with English, French, Dutch, Chinese, etc.
In Japanese, you always state which it is:

～人 (jin) = people
～語 (go) = language

e.g.
[people]
オランダ人 orandajin、日本人 nihonjin、フランス人 furansujin、中国人 chuugokujin
[language]
オランダ語 orandago、日本語 nihongo、フランス語 furansugo、中国語 chuugokugo

In English both of them are Dutch, Japanese, French, Chinese.

When I hear "senshi" I generally associate it with 戦死 (dying in a battle). Maybe I spend too much time reading Japanese tombstones.

Right, because Senshi means "Warrior" or "Soldier".

戦士 (senshi) means "warrior".
戦死 (senshi) means "death in battle".
