Tourist Behaviour

As you might have noticed I'm into Human nature and the various ways people differ in their opinions, hence the following: Who do you think are the best/worst tourists or foriegn visitors? It would be interesting to know. For example It is well documented in some Spanish resorts Brits, especially young one, are not very welcome because of their behaviour, yet in the States I was recieved very well. It would be nice to get other nationalities views on this.

I dunno, but some places in Japan weren't too happy when a large group of us gaijin came in, but it was usually for good reason. The groups of gaijin often got a little rowdy, and drank and ate everything in sight. Sometimes our behavior was a little embarrassing, but that's what you get when you have early 20's people living in another country for the first time, they go nuts.

I don't know... Maybe if you live in a big tourist resort, you might have an oppinion on this? I have only one bad experience about being a foriegner in a another country. When I was in Germany the sales assistants in one shop kept a really close eye on me and followed me around and I didn't understand why because something like that has never happened to me before. I was later pointed out that maybe they thought I was Russian (a German person said this to me so I suppose they had had problems with Russian shoplifters). Go figure. Or maybe I just look suspiscious ^^;

Maybe the best way to handle situations like that is just to be nice and not let them get to you... Just be friendly and they'll atleast have one nice experience.

I dislike this question, just kidding ..

I dislike English people (who say weird stuff like 'oi' , 'bloke' 'mate',) I dislike Australian people who say ('mate' but Outback steakhouse is good,) and then I dislike Singapore people (especially if they pretend they are Japanese and not from Singapore as if it makes them cooler,) and then I dislike red heads (people with red hair, girls especially of any country). I dislike Spanish people even though the majority of them cook my meals. I dislike Japanese people even though the majority of them cook my meals. Pretty much the only group of tourists that I do like is/are me, myself and I and coiencedently i'm the group of tourist that everyone doesnt like heh.

Not that I'm an expert on this sort of thing, but perhaps Spainards are leery of Brits because of their rowdy and sometimes violent reputation as soccer hooligans. But here in the States, no one gives a damn about soccer, so we're more open. Just an opinion.
