Today is said to be the first day of the winter according to the Japanese old calender. Japanese used to bath in yuzu(type of Japanese green lemon) water, and to eat pumpkin, sweet potatos and typical for the region they live seasonal food.
Just an information about the Japanese traditions.

My mother always makes "azuki-kabocha" (sweet azuki beans with chunk of pumpkin in it) for 窶恠ﾅｽﾅ?.
It is very delicious and warming, also makes me feel that really the winter is coming.
I'm not living with her now, but she always calls me to say "eat azuki-kabocha!". I might make it myself today...?!

Thanks to the Meiji government for giving me chance to enjoy azuki- kabocha twice.
I would eath both every day, if it comes to me. I love both azuki and pumpkin, especially hot oshiruko with azuki and mochi, and hot green tea!
