It seems the Japanese used to quake, and they are not frightened anymore!
A few years ago, an earthquake happened in Shiraz (50 kilometers away). I was asleep, but with the first quake, I jumped up from my bed like a frightened cat and dived from the window into the yard without delay!
As I was flying in the air, I remembered my mother was in another room. I could not do anything for her, I only whispered this short prayer, "O God, protect my mother"!
Afterward, I had a hard landing in the yard at that age (I had never practiced gymnastics before). As I lay down on the floor motionless, I saw numerous short thunderbolts in the clear night sky while the yard was moving to the sides under my body!
At that time, I heard my mother's sound, "Hey Mansoor, it is an earthquake! Where are you?"
I shouted with pain in my forearms, " Don't worry mother, you are safe. I'm in the yard!"
