Maybe I'm too worried with my English and Japanese language and i forgot about that important stuff.

Can I ask you a question. What is the difference between "Study program in Japan in detail and concreteness" section and the "Field of Study" section

In my opinion if you could get professor consent, and could finish all the required documents (toefl, recommendation letters, etc which are quite difficult to get) soon (within this or next week) you will not be too late to apply.

I have sent my application to Titech using EMS and they said it would take only 3-5 days to get to Tokyo. So don't worry

I first contacted Professor A, and after 1 week he did not reply, I sent email again to Prof A. 1 week after that and still had no reply, I emailed Prof B. 1 week, no reply. I waited for one week again, and still had no reply. So I emailed Prof B for the second time, i remember it was Friday. I checked my email everyday and the next Monday I still have no reply. In that Monday I was writing email to Prof B again when the reply from Prof B came !! He said sorry for his delayed response because he was away for conferences. We correspondenced and finally he gave me consent.

So, totally it was about 1 MONTH for me to get consent from Prof. Yup that's quite long way but it was worth it

And after several days, I got reply from Prof A !!

I said sorry because I've gotten consent from Prof B, I explained it honesty. Fortunately Prof A is in the same research group with Prof B so he said we still could do research together if I am accepted

So for all who apply this year and haven't gotten any consent, keep spirit !!

so its been a month since i emailed my first professor but he hasn't replied do you think I should move on to the next professor regardless of a reply like you did? because thepie and frna thought that i should wait for the professor to reply back so before moving on to the next prof. I'm really confused now.. I emailed the professor last night too, asked him to tell me once and for all if i'm being considered or if i was rejected. I personally think there should be a more appropriate process for admissions.

And another thing. Can we apply to an Associate Professor even though they run their own labs? I know that we're supposed to apply to professors but in the dept of architecture theres a brilliant associate professor whose practice has really inspired me in my own work too. Do you think I'm allowed to email him?

As long as the professor is the head of the lab, it's alright to apply

In my opinion, you should contact another professor. Because time is running out now. And about associate prof, like thepie said as long as the professor is the head of the lab it is okay. Good luck !!!!

Metallurgy and Ceramics Science) including the Professor who I choose as supervisor and the other Prof is Coordinator of the Department. After interview, Professor that I choose as supervisor sent me an email and told me that he is very impressed by my research results and myself. I dont know, in such case, how about my possibility of success?

I am pretty surprised that you had an interview before the deadline of the submission. There is a problem with my TOEFL score, it seems that Titech hasn't received my score from ETS. I wonder why, too, why it takes so long to reach Titech.. slightly worried now..

I want to ask, if we have all the required document (What I mean is, if we have no problem with the application documents), are we sure to be interviewed? Or is there screening process in document that only, for example, the best 50 candidates that will be interviewed? Thank you

About my interview: Two Professors just asked about my research in the past, research plan, and some questions as why I chose TiTech?... my inverview lasts in about 30 minutes.

So you sent your scan via email? or via mail along with your documents? Because I sent it via email since I've already sent my documents looong ago And I afraid if I sent it via mail it will got separated with my documents that I've sent earlier.

What is that the department that u applied, fawadosman? I got information from my prof that in Computer science department there will be screening process based on documents. I dont know for other departments tough.

As far as I know, we only need to state it in app form. So I think it's fine.

I submitted my application to TITECH and had my interview yesterday, but unfortunately I feel I didn't do so well, I was really nervous and the last question wasn't clear for me so I wasn't sure of what to answer ...at the end of the interview the proffesors asked me about what are my plans in case I don't get the scholarship so.... I'm not the happiest person right now T·T . My adviser confirmed me that only one or two applicants will receive the scholarship in the department, and told me about other options for scholarship.

Anyway, I will most probably get the admission to TITECH, so I'm considering going as a privately financed student. I've read some topics here about part-time jobs and the permission needed to work in japan as a student, but I'm also looking for someone here that can share his/her experience as a privately financed student in TITECH.

Yeah! But I'm a bit worried right now after you said that there are only one or two MEXT scholarship per department because I have choose to go to TokyoTech only if I receive a MEXT scholarship.
