Many people following the common thought they work in a wheel made by the system in wich need to work,to produce to consume. It sells their time for a waged work, many times neglecting our affections and passions, don't realizing that the real wealth is a full life of passions in wich you manage your time,stay with our family, to do that that you have always dreamed, just changing our way to see the things get out by this wheel... That is correct. But I am concerned that you chose to point out pleasure at the expense of somethings like work, saving money, bowing to authority, moralizing, etc.

I do like the OP's tone. Of course one should not over indulge in passions, but some Americans and most Japanese seem too concerned about squashing passions for the sake of money and economy and what I consider to be a mistaken sense of morality and an unnecessary sense of social order.

Some examplse would be how the Japanese are so down on tattoos. dying one's hair, getting a perm, having some facial hair, talking on the train, smoking a joint or dancing at a club (its pretty hard for a club to get a license for it.)

It's called contrast. By explaining that the opposite is also true, it widens a once narrow perspective.

Chalk it up to semantics if you like, but those particular semantics are so common, that my concern is for English speaking societies and not only for you. Those semantics have an effect, and whenever moderation comes up, it seems to be directed at moderating anything that is fun, and further, it seems to me, going beyond moderation and more into deprivation.

That's why we have to change our way of thinking ... as well as being on a spinning wheel, there are natural limits to the development of our planet .. natural resources are not infinite...

I can agree with that. That does not mean that one should not be productive. However, emphasis should be placed on personal growth instead of wealth.

Probably should have said this earlier, but its probably just a matter of time before some pack of conservatives like the Heritage Foundation makes a study telling us how sex around the world is contributing to global warming and how working overtime for no pay reduces it via something about making your boss richer and the trickle down effect.

Or maybe instead of sex it will be the growing and smoking of marijuana. Or pole dancing.
