i am afriadthe civilian's attitute and irraional behaviour of both sides will finally rank up to the governmental level.

i am always thinking the touchy issue that the Japanese PM visiting the YASUKUNI shrine, releasing the new historical book and doing something especially distort their historical astrocity are their domestic matter. we the chinese seems don't have much right to "interferer" the other's bussiness. considering about the astrocity still rankle here, i can not require anyone of us to carm down and defuse the tension between the two sides. in this point, many scholars have raised their opinions which seems useless while the people are controlled by the resentment. what's a good method to make people aware of that? i am waiting an answer.

I am faced with the unfortunate act of bullying in school. Sometimes, they kick my desk or toy with my backpack. Through experience I have found that if you tell them to stop, they continue for longer and have more fun. But when you wait for them to stop, they stop quicker and don't do it as much in the future.

I think Japan and China are in a current situation. Japan had no plan of apologizing before. It may have, in the future, but at the moment, the alleged textbook revisions continue. Now that these revolts and demonstrations occur, Japan begins its own defensive moves, and now will not bow down to China, mainly because it will loose face. It is apologizing to a country which demonstrated against it.

If I didn't tell the bully to stop, he would have stopped sometime anyways. If I did tell him to stop, his ego would have been fed and he would continue and try to appear to be better and stronger. A similar situation occurs here. This is why the two sides can't come to peace. As soon as one shuts up the other starts. When China shuts up, a right-wing official says something to provoke them or a new textbook is written. When Japan shuts up, China does something like this. The cycle will continue unless they both come to terms with what they have done and apologize.

who gain the national interest during the dispute between China and Japan? as a Chinese college student, i am concerning and worrying about the conflict now happening between the China and Japan. i do think not every Chinese wish such controversial and violent-trended issue happened between two neighboring national state. however, we also trapped ourselves in the dilemma by stirring the historical problem though most of us regard this as unavoidable. by our side, it seems that everything bad are just launched by the right wing in the Japanese government, and we don't want to argue those sorrow memory anymore. however, those military- extremist still intent to pull both country into another war which just meet the need of America's globe balance policy: "play both sides against the middle". so, finally who could obtain the relative national interest without paying a lot reactively? we the chinese need the modernization of economic and society by maintaining our booming economic trend, which also help us to bulid a harmonious society not only in the domestic society but also in the international society. to some extent, the Japan also have the similar idea of development not only the recovery of economic but also in the field of politics. Japan want to rebuild its military power instead of SDF, and becomes a "normal state" by getting rid of the effect alleged "control" gradually, what is more, play a more vivid role in the international society. in my opinion, the Japan can't denied the importance of China's hand in these process. in the history, china is a moderate state in Asia region all the time that most of the conflicts were just ongoing inland. i see the respect of both civilization showed to each other in the past three decades, but it is still not enough and we probably need more mutual understanding through the peaceful negotiation and exchange of distinctive ideas. there is a usual saying: the shining spark of idea appeals from the clash of different opinions.

methinks that if the Chinese government doesn't take some measure of action to stop the demonstrations, then they'll regret it when the same demonstrators begin targeting their own government for human rights violations and corruption as well....it's getting very close to the point of no return....just as other former soviet nations are starting to break away from the olde boys' school....

regarding to this question, i would like to say something: actually some westerner said when china's civilian protest comes to a certain peak, it is llikely that it would change its nuture and probably become another 1989's crisis. due to the current state of china's democratic progress. it can't be denied the truth we are not sophisticated enough and we need more self-reform in this field such as the human rights and the economic regime. however, i won't prone to support the idea to "push" to country to do something out of its control, like the cultural revolution. innovation and creatity are necessary for the country. if we don't do things step by step, it has large chance to follow the shallow of soviet union.
