The pound sign?

Whenever i type the symbol of the British pound, it always turns into a question mark when my reply is posted.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't have a pound sign on my keyboard(that I can see or find) but I see a good British Pound sign in your post just fine.

Hm for some weird reason the pound sign just shows up as a question mark on the forum on my computer when i post posts?
Ah i guess at least some others can see it as the sign it is supposed to show.

I can see it in your post - I think it is shown as two byte character.
Japanese language uses two byte character so I can see it (and I guess those who has Japanese fonts in their PC too), maybe your PC does not and that's the reason it is not properly shown...?

Actually yeah i think that could be it 'cos my computer also shows Japanese symbols as question marks too. Thanks for finding the cause of the problem !

Wait....I put that question mark there Tokis chan, because I was wondering how many pounds you'd like to donate to my cause? You see, I am not allowed to advertise openly here, but I am working on the 'Save the Romping Grounds On Mars' non-profit/NGO project, and have been kind of under the carpet wheeling and dealing like that, you see?

I mean...think of all the fun the children will have playing there !! (well, ok, I'll be honest, I am talking about our great-great-grandchildren's grandchildren...but hey, they are children, you know, and someone has to start collecting money now...for that future, you see...so...

Everyone here sees a cute little pound mark there, but you see a question mark, because I want to know how much you will donate to the Mars Play Ground Fraud...I meant Fund !!!

Anyway, it could be your ansi settings. I don't think the American setting has the pound sign, so if you have a computer made in america, by default it needs to be set right. Might notice this if you type in notepad and save it. A nice easy fix is rightclicking and goign to encoding. If you're not on a windows machine, there might be your problem. Many OSes don't support symbols like that. Not sure wo all doesn't, but the OS i sometimes work with only supports russian and roman letters and punctuation.
