It seems to me that dubbing companies are TOO obsessed with matching the lipflap, when there are numerous examples of exactly the opposite in the japanese versions.

It has either to do with synchronisation and dubbing of movies, or.. Something else. I don't really get it.
 
sorry, the "lipflap" is what they call the mouth movement in an animated movie.

Most companies try to match the sentences exactly to this "lipflap", often resulting in unnatural pauses and intonation. In a worst case scenario this makes it very annoying to listen to a dub.

I think most dubbed movies are unpleasant in general. Much prefer subtitles, but that's just me.

I prefer subtitle too but I love nihongo and i don't care even unnatural....

I can't stand dubbing in general. The voice and tone never matches the characters properly (or it could just be in my head because I know its dubbed).
 
I don't like dubbing, it ruins the atmosphere of the whole anime. U just don't feel attached to the anime!!!!☝
