yes it sure is, but a lot of people do it, and gifts should be given.... but this thread is not only about valentine day only....

I know that a lot of people think that Valentines day is too commercial, etc. But It is still nice to give your partner a special present... So what are you people gonna do on V-day?

I made a photo book for my wife, from pictures of her holiday in here, including text, I wish of course, that I could be with her, but mmm next year I can

Dave, that's a nice gift. I think picture book is one of the best gifts I can think of.

I gave my husband a plant called schefflera on a valentine's day 9 years ago. It's been healthy, very strong and survived fine while he was away for 10 months(his dad took a good care of it.) It was about 5 inches tall when I gave him and now 3 to 4 feet tall after repotting a few times.

Buying something that'll remind the other half of you constantly would be a good idea. For example, watch, wallet, or anything that he or she'll carry around on a daily basis.
