From laughter to tears
From sandy shores to watery graves
From reaches to wags窶
From everything to nothing

I ask myself
WHY ? WHY ? WHY ?
In a minute
In a moment

I the twinkling of an eye
Like a flash of lightning
The swirling, twirling waver

Made hell let loose
Drowning
Destroying
Our brothers and sisters
And I ask myself
WHY ? WHY ? WHY ?
God only knows
