Candy Spooky Theater's stuff is REALLY cheap though =o Their stuff is for sale for non-japanese people at Tainted Reality...

I'm still a new fan of Jack.... I read in a profile that he born in Transylvania... What is his nationality :? If anybody have a clear profile of him can you post it :? I can't find much about him

Those last ones are from PMX 2007 (my friend went there ^^;; ) and one of those of CrimsonMasquerade post of the Jame site (with the Rainbow Eyes thingy), where Jack is holding Tsutomu, is from the live in The Netherlands! X3
I attended that live! X3
And yeah, he's born in Japan and lives in Tokio, so no Transylvania XDD But he's supposed to be a vampire doll, right?! ;D

Yes, my friend went there and gave me even more pictures she took there. It was cool, since it was Kiddy's first live in America X3 I wish I was there Oo;;

My friend really did some weird stuff with Jack XDDD I felt so ashamed for her behavior XDD (she had too much sugar Oo;; )
Peggy's the easiest to talk to, since Jack sometimes seems moody, and Kiddy.... *shrugs* doesn't speak a lot of english... ^^;;
I didn't have trouble with this though XDDD Thank god my Japanese is OK ^^;;

good news people, jack is back!!

Back in July The Candy Spooky Theater announced that they would be going on hiatus and postponing the production of their newest release due to vocalist jack Spooky's health problems.

Well, good news for all TCST fans! They have just recently posted on their OHP that jack Spooky has recovered and they will be resuming with the production of their new album in just a few days! They also apologize to everyone for making them worry.

Once there are more details on the release, we'll fill you in. I'm sure that The Candy Spooky Theater fans are glad that the band is back on the scene!

I'd like to post this...

Thank you for doing this interview. Can you introduce yourself for readers that don't know The Candy Theater yet?
Jack: Vocalist, Jack Spooky.
Peggy: Bassist, Peggy.
Kiddy: Guitarist, Kiddy.

How did you come up with your band name?
Jack: We took in the story of Hansel and Gretel, about the candy house. Plus we wanted to express something sweet, but also include theatrical horror. Hence came The Candy Spooky Theater.


You've recently added a new member, Kiddy Skeleton, how did you guys meet?
Peggy: Kiddy was a guitarist from a previous band I was in, so I asked him to join us.

What are your musical influences?
Jack: Not really other bands, but rather horror movies.

What age did you start playing music at?
Jack: When I was 13, I'm a X Japan fan, and really wanted to perform with them. I also like attention a lot, so I picked up vocalist.
Peggy: Through a friend who introduced me to the music when I was young. He said I should pick up Bass, so I did.
Kiddy: In Junior High School, a friend introduced me to hard rock and really liked to for myself.


What inspires you when writing music and lyrics?
Jack: We take in from different aspect of stories and songs, mostly horror. We think of the image and come up with the lyrics or song and filter it to our image and style.


The band's style is certainly unique. Who designs your clothes?
Jack: Basically we were what we think it's stylish and come up with it ourselves, but do have our own stylist who we consult about everything we wear.


What would you say it's the concept of your latest release, Prince of Darkness?
Jack: It's about Bela Lugosi, I admire him a lot and took that image of his acting into the song.


How did you came up with it's design?
Same with the song but also the wanted to explore something.


Which do you like more: recording or playing live?
All: lives (laughs)


How would you describe a Candy Spooky Theater live?
Jack: A mysterious puppet rock show comical horror.


Do you get nervous before you perform?
All: yes, of course.


Has something embarrassing ever happen during a live?
Jack: We don't really get embarrassed. When something happens we always come up with a way to make it better.


You've played lives in Maryland, New York, Boston and California. Will you be touring any other states?
Jack: It is not plan yet, but we do hope to.


You're going to Europe for the first time in December, are you excited?
Jack: We release our first album this march through the European label Trisol. We never had the chance to go, so yes, we're really excited.


What band do/would you like to see live?
Jack: 2nd Effect.
Peggy: (laughs)


If you could play anywhere, where would it be?
Kiddy: Spain. wants to see the fighting **** (laughs).


Kiddy, how does it feel to be doing your first overseas live with the band?
Kiddy: Before the live I got really nervous, but also excited. Mixed feelings. But after we got the live going I grew really excited and it was a great experience.


What is your favorite horror movies?
Jack: The Exorcist.
Kiddy: The Omen.
Peggy: I don't have one specifically.


If you could be any horror character from a movie, who would you be and why?
Jack: Vampires. They're my favorite.


If you we're to get stuck in a deserted island, who would last the longest?
Jack: Kiddy. Peggy and I give up easily.


How would you say your childhood was?
Jack: I was a prankster.
Peggy: It was cute.
Kiddy: I would practice pro-wrestling on my friends.


Have any of you ever had any paranormal experiences?
Jack: Peggy has.
Peggy: On an occasion I got to meet my grandfather who had passed away.


What are your 3 favorite possessions?
Jack: My hat, and my two rings, one of Jack skeleton and one of Frankenstein.
Kiddy: My gear, but I can't pick which one (laughs)
Peggy: I don't have any.


What's the one thing you want most?
Jack: A pyramid.
Peggy: Keep a high feeling, like floating, no gravity.

What kind of musical equipment do you use?
Kiddy: A Gibson custom guitar.
Peggy: I have no specific brand, but for this event I brought my Virgo.


How do you see yourselves in 5 years time?
Jack: Taller. Grow another inch.


What advice would you give your fans that want to be musicians?
Jack: It's not good to copy from others, or what others really think of you, but what you think. Make it yours and interesting.


What would you like fans to remember you for?
Jack: Our cool style.


Lastly, could you give a message to your fans?
Jack: We're glad to be here together and do this live. We really enjoyed it and hope to come back to America. Thank you everyone.
