has anyone heard of the ps2 game "the bouncer"?

a friend of mine bought it from gamestop yesterday and got us both hooked on it.

the storyline of it goes that sion (pretty boy), volt (butch guy with piercings) and kou (sexy *obviously* gay man with tattoos) work at this club as bouncers and when their little gal-pal Dominique (who sion apparently adores) gets kidnapped by mugetsu (sexy blue ninja with pretty hair and pretty mask and spiffy sunglasses) (...i am so gay.) and his gang (high-tech blue ninja things) they have to go after her to rescue her.

it's kinda like a fighting game with a relatively good story behind it. as you battle with enemies your points go up and you can improve power life and defense of sion, volt and kou (your fighters) though the camera angles are annoying and the controlling isn't the best and the little fact that sion obviously never forgets the fact that they have to get dominique, it's a good, highly addictive game.

RECOMMENDING IT TO OTHERS-->meh.
 
Yeah its a good game, too short though.

Kou is my favorite character...
 
kou was my favorite..until i saw mugetsu... he's so pretty. ^^"

my friend's favorite is sion.. >< he irks me.

we haven't finished the game yet, but the part with the closing doors in the train station was so IRRITATING.

If you're looking for anything deep, don't buy this game, or even play it, EVER.

If, however, you're completely happy with mindless ***-kicking, it's one of the most fun games I've played, and it's cheap as hell now. :D
 
two words it sucked, it took a 13 (well i was 12) year old to beat it in an hour and a half on hard difficulty levelling up and taking time...meh! :; disgusted ::
 
The game is only intended to take 90 minutes anyway. Anyone who read on the back of the box, "Play the action movie" (or however it was worded) should have realized that to begin with.
 
anyways i swapped it for a packet of wine gums and a bottle of coke....

Heh... Heh... The Bouncer, Shion is pretty much Cloud under a different name (Sakurai Takahiro who voiced for Shion also voiced for Cloud in Kingdom Hearts). Heck that's my first impression when I looked at him.

Anyway. The Bouncer's gameplay is similiar to one of those action arcade games with a storyline, kinda like Virtua Cop, Double Dragons, and so on. It's a cinematic action game, kinda like "Dragon's Lair" and "Space Ace".



By the way, the whole gameplay of "The Bouncer" is designed so arcade-ish, did they also made an arcade version of it or did they just made a console version of it?
 
shrugs....i doubt it since why the upgrades..and who would spend 90 minutes in an arcade...

amusing, isn't it? ..the friend of mine that adores sion, incidently idolizes cloud. >< small world..
 
I played when the ps2 first came around and i beat it on the hardest difficulty in just about an hour :P but its a great game and some good replay value
